Three years ago today the idea for Cook Like Chuck was born.
Sean said, “You know, you should do a food blog. You could call it Cook Like Chuck.” We all had a good laugh at the name, but after some prodding by both Amanda and Sean over the next few hours, I bought the domain on that very couch and set up the site that night.
To be honest, it took me another year to actually launch the site, including two separate redesigns before actually letting the public see it, but that day the seed was planted and started sprouting. I’m very thankful that both Amanda and Sean kept encouraging me to launch it and assured me that people would actually read it, despite my worries to the contrary.
Since getting the site up and running officially, over 11,000 individual visitors have visited the site over 15,000 times. All with little-to-no marketing effort on my part.
